El 16 de octubre del año 2003 un grupo de paramilitares priístas irrumpieron una asamblea en la comunidad de Yaviche en la Sierra de Juárez Oaxaca y atacaron a balazos y machetazos a los compas organizados. Nuestros hermanos como pudieron repelieron el ataque con piedras y palos (a pesar de los balazos) y en su huída uno de los esbirros dió muerte al compañero Bartolomé Salas e hirieron a muchos otros más...
